Dr. Robin Dehlinger

Robin DehlingerRobin, a native of Austin, Texas was raised in an Air Force family, experiencing a diverse educational journey across various schools in the United States and abroad before graduating from Stuttgart American High School in Germany, where her father was stationed. Robin pursued her degree in history at the University of Texas and upon graduation she married her husband Charlie and moved to Altamonte Springs and later Longwood.

Dr. Dehlinger's 2nd period World History StudentsRobin's career in education began teaching 4th and 5th grades in Catholic K-8 schools and Bishop Moore High School before she landed her dream teaching job at Lake Mary High School (LMHS). At LMHS, she actively contributed to the school community by serving on the School Advisory Council, sponsoring clubs and cheerleading, and leading as the Social Studies Department Chair. She furthered her academic pursuits, earning a Master’s and Doctorate in Educational Research, Technology, and Leadership from the University of Central Florida.

Meet Principal DehlingerTransitioning into administration, Robin served as an assistant principal at Teague Middle School and South Seminole Middle School (SSMS) before ascending to the principal position at SSMS, where she initiated the now nationally acclaimed magnet program. Her leadership journey continued as principal at Lawton Chiles Middle School and later as Assistant Superintendent of Middle Schools. After overseeing middle schools for five years, Robin's expertise led her to the elementary level, where she served as an Assistant Superintendent supervising 20 schools, including nine Title I schools.

Since retiring in 2022, she remains deeply committed to Seminole County Public Schools, actively participating in School Board meetings to advocate for the district's excellence. With her oldest grandson set to graduate from Lyman High School, Robin's dedication to Seminole County Public Schools remains unwavering as she looks ahead to supporting future generations of students. Renowned as "Dr. D." among her peers, Robin is poised to bring her wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to the forefront as she endeavors to lead Seminole County Public Schools into a promising future, always prioritizing student success and educational opportunities.
